The Traka – Gravel Girona
It happened! for sure it’s the best news. It’s been a pretty shit year in terms of outdoor group activities. Here in Girona, we managed to do a few but a lot have been cancelled around.
The Traka for me it’s special; it happens in Girona, it’s organized by a friend and I checked part of the tracks to create something unique as a gravel experience and show to the world that Girona it’s one of the best gravel paradises.
This year the format was different, just one day race (last year was a two-day stage) and 3 different routes; 60-100-200kms. I signed up for the 100 and I had part of the usual suspects doing the 200kms with the goal to end on the podium.
Race day was sunny, a bit hotter to be on September and the terroir was perfect; a few days ago rained in Girona and we knew that will make the race super fast.
The teammates on the 200kms did it an amazing job, Sami and Fisiat were riding in front and she arrived 2nd, super proud!
Congratulations to Klassmark to bring us the opportunity to ride around Girona again with a lot of people with the same passion, with all the health measures on place, it was a fantastic and emotional day.
